Notary Public
Pam McEwin, a Partner of Treloar & Treloar, is a Notary Public.
A Notary Public is appointed by the Supreme Court upon being satisfied that the applicant is of good character and displays an understanding of the office and duties of Notary Public.
A Notary Public may certify or authenticate documents for international use. Frequently a document needed for an international purpose will also require the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs to add an additional endorsement, called and “Apostille”.
A Notary Public can also witness an affidavit or statutory declaration for use in foreign courts, and can prepare a Power of Attorney required for international use.
Every foreign jurisdiction has its own requirements; every Notarial Act is likely to be different.
If you have any requirements for a Notary Public we suggest you speak to Pam McEwin (or her secretary) at the time of making an appointment to discuss what might be required for her to perform the Notorial Act you may need.
